Look at the plants around you. All look different and unique isn.t it? But they all fall into either of these two categories – monocots and dicots. Monocots – plants that have the single seed inside the seed coat have fibrous roots. Dicots – plants that have two seeds inside one seed coat have taproot. Monocot and dicot plants also differ in the internal arrangement of cells. A root has – ●Epidermis ●Cortex ●Endodermis ●Vascular bundle All the other three layers are the same for monocots and dicots, except the vascular bundle.
