This video will teach us about metals and non-metals. Metals are hard and have a high density. Whereas, non-metals are not hard and have low density. Also, metals and non-metals can be differentiated using 8 other properties. Metals can conduct heat and electricity easily. Eg: Iron. Non-metals do not conduct heat. Eg: wood. Metals can be made into thin sheet due to its property called malleability. Eg: aluminium sheets. Metals can be stretched without breaking, this property is called ductility. Eg: copper wires. Whereas non-metals either breaks or melts. Metals can reflect light. Hence, metals are lustrous. Non-metals have a low melting point. Tensile-Strength of non-metals is very low. Whereas metals are of high tensile-strength. Hence they cannot be broken easily. Metals can vibrate and produce sounds.
